Try a Cup of Kopi Luwak?
Are you a coffee lover, like me? Then you might be curious about Kopi luwak, the world's most expensive coffee & certainly one of the uniquely sourced coffees you'll ever find.
So...where does it come from?
It all begins with cherries, simple cherries. They are eaten by civet cats, who digest the cherries and (of course!), they re-appear in the cats' droppings. Because of the digestive juices, amazingly enough the cherries actually ferment and go through a process which makes them somehow ideal to create coffee that people enjoy.
These cherries are taken and brewed, this is called Kopi luwak coffee and typically this originates from Indonensia, Bali and Sumata. The coffee usually has a price of $700 a kilogram, or about $80 for a single cup of it.
What do you think? Is this a type of coffee you would be tempted to try?
